Indian surfing team confirms spot at The Asian Games 2026 for the first time

The Indian Surfing Team has confirmed its spot in the upcoming Asian Games 2026 for the first time in the history. Indian Surfers amassed the required ranking points to qualify for the Asiad, with one quota each for Men and Women.

These quotas have been earned based on the ranking points accumulated by Indian surfers in the Asian Surfing Championships 2024. 

The President of Surfing Federation of India, Arun Vasu, said it’s truly heartening to witness this historic day.

He further said that the achievement is a testament to the hard work and determination of our surfers, coaches, and the federation over the years.
