The Commonwealth game has officially entered a new chapter as Glasgow handed over the CWG flag and ceremonial baton to India marking the start of countdown to Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad,2030. With this, India will become the second country after Australia to host the Commonwealth Games more than once.

Olympic Champion Neeraj Chopra, Indian Olympic Association president PT Usha and Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat received the Commonwealth flag and baton on behalf of India during the glittering closing ceremony of Commonwealth games.

India ended its Glasgow campaign by finishing fourth on the medal table with 39 medals out of which 13 gold medals,17 silver medals and 9 bronze medals.
