Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh said the force is alert, committed and ready to face any challenge as the IAF celebrated its 94th Air Force Day on Thursday.

Addressing the celebrations at Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad, Singh said the operational capabilities of the Indian Air Force are moving in the right direction. He also highlighted the IAF’s transformation over the past 94 years into a capable, network-centric and multi-domain force.

Air Chief Highlights Operation Sindoor

Speaking about India’s recent military operations, Singh referred to Operation Sindoor and said the operation demonstrated the speed of the IAF’s combat response as well as its air-defence capabilities.He said recent conflicts around the world have shown the growing importance of air power in protecting a nation’s interests. Singh stressed that the IAF remains prepared to respond to any contingency.The Air Chief also said that advanced aircraft and technology are important tools, but the real strength of the force lies with its Air Warriors. He highlighted the growing culture of ownership and accountability within the organisation.

Rafale, Su-30 MKI Among Aircraft Displayed

The 94th Air Force Day celebrations at Hindon Air Base featured a ceremonial parade and a display of some of the IAF’s major combat platforms.The static display included Rafale, Su-30 MKI and Jaguar fighter aircraft, along with LCH Prachand and ALH Dhruv helicopters. Critical weapons and air-defence systems were also showcased.Air Chief Marshal Singh arrived at the parade venue in a vintage car from the 1960s, while three helicopters flew overhead in a ‘Dhwaj’ formation. Senior military officials, the three service chiefs and several former IAF chiefs attended the event.
