French Open Tennis, India's Rohan Bopanna and his Dutch partner Matwe Middelkoop will play the men's doubles semi final this afternoon.

They take on the duo of El Salvador's Marcelo Arevalo and the Netherlands' Jean-Julien Rojer. This is the first ever doubles semi-final for Bopanna.

However, in Women's Doubles, Sania Mirza and her Czech partner Lucie Hradecka's lost to American pair of Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula in the third round.

In men's singles, Rafael Nadal defeated old rival and World Number One Novak Djokovic 6-2, 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 to reach the semi-finals.

This was Nadal's eighth victory in 10 French Open matches against last year's winner Djokovic.

He will now meet third seed Alexander Zverev tomorrow in the last-four clash.

20th seed Croatia's Marin Cilic has also entered the semi-finals, his maiden at the Roland Garros, after beating seventh seed Russia's Andrey Rublev in the five-set thriller 5-7, 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6, in a more than four-hour long match.

In another Quarterfinal match, 8th seed Norwegian Casper Rudd defeated Danish teenager Holger Rune 6-1, 4-6, 7-6 (7/2), 6-3.

Rudd will meet Marin Cilic in the semi-final. Alexander Zverev defeated sixth seed Carlos Alcaraz 6-4, 6-4, 4-6, 7-6, 9-7 in the quarterfinal.

In Women's Singles, World Number one Iga Swiatek beat American Jessica Pegula 6-3, 6-2 to book a spot in the semifinals.

The Polish player will now face Russian Daria Kasatkina for a place in Saturday's final. 20th seed Daria Kasatkina defeated her compatriot Veronika Kudermetova 6-4, 7-6 to reach her first ever Grand Slam semi-final.
