Chasing a victory target of 157 runs, the hosts could make only 137 runs for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Laura Wolvaardt scored 61 runs for South Africa. Earlier, winning the toss and deciding to bat first, Australia posted 156 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs. Beth Mooneyc top-scored with unbeaten 74 runs for Australia.
