Power supply of four commercial complexes cut off by the fire brigade

Action taken by the administration for non-compliance with fire safety regulations.

The power supply of four commercial complexes was cut off by the fire brigade of Vadodara Municipal Corporation. Action was taken by the administration against these buildings for non-compliance with fire safety regulations.

Makarpura GIDC Sub Fire officer Nikunj Azad said that action was being taken by the fire brigade against the fire NOC. The power supply of four complexes Concord Building in Alkapuri, Silver Line Complex in National Plaza Sayajiganj and Blue Chief Complex was cut off on Monday by the administration due to non-availability of fire safety facilities along with GEB team.

He further said that a notice was issued earlier by the Fire and Emergency Services Department of Vadodara Municipal Corporation to install fire safety equipment and system as per the provisions of The Gujarat Fire Prevention Life Safety Measures Act-2013. Yet the fire NOC was not renewed by them.

Hence the power supply of those buildings was cut off for violating the rules for public safety and public safety in multi-storied buildings. The operation was carried out by GEB officials and fire brigade teams.
