Now infants are infected with Coronavirus and as a precautionary step a ten bed facility is raised at SSG hospital in Vadodara. The ward is operational at the paediatric ward of the hospital and at present three infants are under treatment.

Dr. Sheila Aiyer, professor and head of Paediatric department said, from last five to six days cases of children became Corona positive arrived at the hospital and under treatment. Mostly their parents and care takers are positive and hence they get the infection. However those who are stable can get the treatment at home quarantine.

She further added that in last 15 days two infants are admitted in the hospital after tested positive. Their care taker is also tested positive and hence they might get the infection. Children are now prone to the infection and hence they have raised a ten bed facility at the paediatric ward of the hospital.

She also added that they will put proposal before the advisory to increase the beds in case of more cases arrived at the hospital.
