American Fighter Jet Downed Near Al Jahra; Crew Ejects Safely

The Middle East crisis has intensified sharply after a reported joint US–Israeli military operation that allegedly killed Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, triggering a wave of retaliatory threats and military activity across the region.

On Monday morning, a US Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle crashed in Kuwaiti airspace near Al Jahra, with dramatic footage circulating online showing the aircraft spiraling downward trailing smoke before impact. Both the pilot and the weapons systems officer reportedly ejected safely, and videos shared on social media appear to show at least one crew member being assisted by civilians and moved to safety in a private vehicle.

Iran’s state media has claimed responsibility for shooting down the jet, describing it as part of a broader response to US and Israeli strikes; however, regional defense sources have suggested alternative possibilities, including mechanical failure or even friendly fire. There has been no official confirmation from the Pentagon regarding the cause of the crash.

The incident comes amid heightened air-defence activity across the Gulf, with multiple reports of drone and missile interceptions and security forces placed on high alert. The rapidly evolving situation has raised fears of a wider regional conflict, as military engagements and emergency responses continue to unfold across key strategic locations.
