Laboratory administrator lodged complaint against the person at JP Road police station

The laboratory administrator in Vadodara lodged a police complaint against the person who made a bogus Covid-19 positive report of the laboratory and used it in an insurance company to defraud Mediclaim for financial gain. J.P. Road police have registered an offense under sections including fraud and taken legal action against the claimant.

Dr. Ankit Zaveri living in Gotri area of ​​Vadodara city runs a laboratory near Radhakrishna crossing and also started Covid-19 tests there. On 15th December, a report from HDFC Agro Health Mediclaim Insurance Company on the Covid-19 positive test of a patient Nimesh Kumar Parmar resident of Gotri area came to the lab with from the reference of Dr. Ravi Patel.

The online registration of the suspected laboratory revealed that no such Covid-19 test of such a person has been done by this lab and no Covid-19 positive report has been given from this lab. This was also reported to the insurance company. Details surfaced that the person had forged a report to obtain Mediclaim money for his own personal gain. So the laboratory manager lodged a complaint against Nimesh Kumar at the JP Road police station.

Police began investigation in the matter.
