Karmbhoomi to Janambhoomi NCC cycle expedition flagged off from Dandi

The ‘Karmbhoomi to Janambhoomi’ cycle rally was jointly flagged off by Brigadier RK Singh, Group Commander Ahmedabad and Mr Girish Pandya, SP Navsari from National Salt Satyagraha Memorial, Dandi on 19 Sep 2019. The aim of the expedition is to propagate the message of Mahatama Gandhi.

Each cadet of the core group of the cycling team is concentrating on one of the Vows of Gandhiji. All eleven cadets will thus specialize in Truth, Ahimsa, Brahmacharya, Control of Palate, Non Stealing, Non Possession, Fearlessness, Removal of Untouchability, Bread Labour, Equality of Religion and Swadeshi.

The expedition also aims at spreading the awareness amongst the youth about the importance of being fit coupled with non use of junk food. Cadets, through this vow of Gandhiji will highlight and support the Fit India campaign also.

The expedition reached Kargil Chowk, Surat, where in a rousing reception was organized by local NCC unit and civil administration. The cadets interacted with the students of SVNIT and performed Nukkad Natak, highlighting the 11 Vows of Gandhiji.

The expedition will be flagged off for Bharuch on 20 Sep 19
