In Maharashtra , Senior BJP Leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, the Central Government has given boost to industry and infrastructure for cotton cultivators by laying the foundation stone of textile park in Amravati.
PM Modi said the textile park will pave the way for the prosperity of cotton farmers.
Addressing his first election rally in Vidarbha region at Akola PM Modi said his government in the third term has launched several development projects worth crores of rupees which include many infrastructure projects in Maharasthra.
He highlighted the importance of Irrigation projects in Vidarbha .He said previous Maha Vikas Aghadi government stalled ambitious irrigation projects of Devendra Fadnavis government.
After Mahayuti Alliance returned to power in the state, Wainganga Nalganga and Painganaga interlin project was sanctioned which will bring all 5 districts in Western Vidarbha including Nagpur and Wardha District under irrigation.
PM Modi also informed that his government accorded the classical language status to Marathi language which has raised the prestige of Maharashtra.
The Western Vidarbha includes Akola, Amravati, Yavatmal, Buldana and Washim districts from where BJP, NCP and Shivsena are contesting as Mahayuti Alliance.
PM Modi will also address a rally at Nanded in Marathwada region today. The state will go to polls on the 20th of this month.
