At least two people were killed after a landslide buried half a dozen dumper trucks and several machines at the Dadam mining zone in Haryana's Bhiwani district on Saturday (January 1, 2022).

The bodies have yet to be identified, according to Inspector Sukhbir of the Tosham Police Station, who also stated that rescue efforts are continuing.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar expressed his sadness over the landslide catastrophe and stated that he is in close contact with the local authorities to guarantee prompt rescue operations and urgent help to the afflicted.

Meanwhile, Haryana Agriculture Minister JP Dalal came on the scene and announced the arrival of a team of medics.

"Some people have died. I cannot provide the exact figures as of now. We will try to save as many people as possible," he told ANI.
