146 hospitals designated as Covid hospital in Vadodara

Hospitals having 6225 beds designated from 1st December

As part of our proactive and advance planning Vadodara administration have designated 146 Hospitals as COVID Hospitals with 6225 beds from 1st December.

OSD Dr. Vinod Rao informed, the hospitals include 8 Government Hospitals with 1455 Beds, 3 Free Private facilities with 430 Beds and 135 Private Hospitals with 4340 Beds. These include more than 600 Beds with Advanced Ventilators.

He further said that they have only about 33% occupancy today since at 12 noon only 2237 persons were admitted across all Hospitals including 243 on BIPAP/ Ventilators. They will continue to increase the capacity in the coming days to still improve accessibility of Hospital beds to all persons in and around Vadodara.
