On 22 December 2017 he scored T 20 century against Sri Lanka capataing India at Indore. He reached the milestone in 35 balls equals the record of David Miller.

Rohit Sharma becomes first batsman to score fastest 2000 runs in one day against the Kangaroo team. He reached the milestone in 37 innings and surpassed the record earlier held by little master Sachin Tendulkar.

He is the highest run getter in T20 matches with 2331 runs surpassed New Zealand batsman Martin Guptil held the record with 2272 runs. Pakistan all rounder Shoaib Malik has 2263 runs in T20 matches.

Rohit also has a unique IPL record in his name to play from five winning teams. In 2009 he was the part of Deccan Chargers winning the title.
