A young girl at a social event forgot her bag in a rickshaw carrying jewellery worth Rs 8 lakh in the bag. The girl had sought the help of police in connection with the incident. Based on that police access the CCTV footage from the spot where the girl took the rickshaw till and she got off and returned the bag full of jewellery within hours.

Henny Arvindbhai Patel, who lives in Vadodara, came to Surat on December 7 for a social program and got off from the bus near Patiya Swaminarayan temple. From there she got into a rickshaw and got off at underpass of Surat railway station. However she forgot the bag in the rickshaw contained jewelery worth Rs 8 lakhs. As soon as she realised about the forgotten bag, she immediately rushed to the Mahidharpura police station and told the whole truth to police.

Following the incident, the police kept the girl with them and checked the CCTV footage of all the police stations as well as the CCTV footage of all the police stations and of Surat city from the place where she board the rickshaw till she got off.

After finding the rickshaw driver, the police team reached Parvat Patiya and the rickshaw driver returned the bag safely to the girl. The girl thanked the rickshaw driver and police for finding her bag and also praised the work done by the police.

The rickshaw driver was not aware of the bag and reportedly found in the rickshaw after police reported. The rickshaw driver's honesty was also applauded by the police.
