The Food Rights Campaign was organized at Nandesari by the Vadodara City-District Congress against the state government's food distribution program. They put allegations on the state government for their failure and raised slogans against them. However 15 protestors were detained by the police for violation of guidelines.

The Vijay Rupani Government of Gujarat is celebrating the successful completion of five years by organizing various programs. On the other hand, the Congress is protesting against the Rupani government, put allegations on them for failed miserably in five years, by organizing parallel programs. On Tuesday food distribution program was organized by Gujarat government at all taluka centers. Against this a food rights campaign program was organized by the Congress.

In Vadodara protest was staged by the city-district congress committee in Nandesari market under the Right to Food Campaign. The event was attended by a large number of Congress leaders and activists including District Congress President Sagar Brahmbhatt (Coco), City Congress President Prashant Patel, Dilip Bhatt, Amit Gotikar. Anti-government slogans were chanted by Congress workers who joined the program with posters and banners.

The event held at Nandesari market was a huge attraction. As many as 15 Congress workers, including district Congress president Sagar Brahmbhatt (Coco) and city Congress president Prashant Patel, were detained by police before the protesting Congress workers took a violent turn. Anti-government slogans were chanted by Congress activists while detained by the police.
