Vadodara city and district Congress organised Vikas Ki Khoj program to counter the BJP celebrations
More than 15 detained by the police
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani led government is celebrating the completion of five years with various programs. Against which programs have been started by the Vadodara city district congress committee with various programs raising the issues like development claims of the government.
On Saturday a protest was organized by the city-district congress committee at Warasia Ring Road under the program "Vikas Ki Khoj". They formed a human chain and chanted slogans against the government alleged to fool people in the name of development. Senior Congress leaders also joined the protest with banners and posters.
City Congress president Prashant Patel, district Congress president Sagar Brahmbhatt (Coco), Nilesh Brahmbhatt and other Cong leaders were detained by the police for violation of guidelines. At one point there was also a confrontation between Congress activists and the police. The event, organized by the Congress on the Warasia Ring Road, was a huge attraction.
