In a tragic incident three people including a child killed in a accident between a jeep and a truck carrying workers near Dodka village on the Express Highway. Around 16 persons sustained injuries and were shifted to Sayaji Hospital by 108 ambulances.

As per available details, 19 persons from Mahida, Meda and Mori families of Alirajpur taluka of Madhya Pradesh had left for Morbi to work in a jeep. There were also five to six children with the laborers.

Meanwhile, in the middle of the night, their jeep crashed into a moving truck near Dodka. Three persons including a seven year old child died in the ill fated accident. The deceased have been identified as 45-year-old Tensig Parsing Meda, seven-year-old Rahul Dineshbhai Meda and an unidentified 25-year-old resident of Poonia village.

While 30-year-old Hitesh Meda, 35-year-old Suresh Meda, 40-year-old Ramji Meda, 05-year-old Bhavsingh Meda, 10-year-old Rangita Mahida, 04-year-old Ajay Mahida, 05-year-old Ankita Mahida, 07-year-old Govind Mahida, 25-year-old Magan Meda, 07-year-old Bhuri Mire, 12 year old Riddhi Mire, 07 year old Kanha Mire, 38 year old Sumi Mire, 07 year old Akhilesh Meda (all live - Alirajpur, Madhya Pradesh) a total 16 people sustained minor to major injuries. All the injured were taken in 108 ambulances to Sayaji Hospital for treatment.

Traffic was disrupted briefly after the accident and cleared after police arrived. Bhadawa police reached the spot and further investigating after registering the case.
