Podar World Schools, Vadodara celebrate National Unity Day by making a large-sized cloth based cut-out to be made with texts written as 'U for Unity' by the students of Podar World Schools with their handprints.

Around 600 to 800 Students from 8 to 12 of all the three schools in the city took part in the special creation to spread the message of Unity. They use handprints and acrylic colours to made the huge cutout.

"Every year since 2014, October 31 has been celebrated as National Unity Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of India's iron man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This year marks the 145th birth anniversary of this great freedom fighter. To celebrate this historic occasion, students from all over Podar World Schools across India made a huge cut-out on their campus with the message 'U for Unity' written using their handprint. Students participated in making this special composition to celebrate National Unity Day, " Said principals Rekha Shah, Preeta Pillai and Pooja Sharma.

The cut out was put up at the entrance of the school and spreads the message of unity among students. They further added that this is to inculcate the views of Sardar Patel in students and also they learn leadership, creativity, teamwork, communication like soft skills.
