Prevention of Crime Branch (PCB) Vadodara registered case against eight after FSL report confirmed the presence of alcohal and ethanol in the seized drums. The team raid factory premises at Durga Industrial estate near Sankarda village after information about liquor being sold inside Ayurvedic syrup bottles. After the report PCB team speeded up the arrest of the accused by filing a case against 8 persons including the factory manager.

A case was registered against a factory for mixing alchohal under the guise of Ayurvedic syrup in the Durga Industrial Estate near Sankarda village and selling it in syrup bottles. The samples of syrup from the factory as well as of chemicals in drums located at the factory were seized and examined by the FSL. The investigation revealed that the bottles of Ayurvedic syrup were selling alcohol and the chemical drums contained ethanol.

Following the FSL report, factory owner Nitin alias Vicky Ajitbhai Kotwani, Bhajanlal Bishnoi, Hanuman Ram Bishnoi wanted in prohibition case registered at Dabhoi, Sunil Pariyani brother in law (Behnoi of Nitin), Bhavesh Sevakani, A.K. Industries proprietor Trupti Panchal, Lakhdhirsinh Jadeja from Bhavnagar and Asha Chavda have been booked under various sections of IPC. It may be mentioned that Nitin Kotwani was earlier caught making duplicate sanitizer during corona epidemic and selling it in the market.

The police also raided at their godown at Sayajipura Agricultural Produce Market Committee and found 6850 bottles of syrup worth Rs. 10,20,650 and one hydraulic machine. Earlier police seized items worth Rs 85,81,700 from the factory during a raid on Thursday.
