Marking a chapter of over 100+ innovative projects, incubated, supported and funded, the budding innovators of Parul University in Vadodara celebrates the ocassion with innovative activities. The student innovators across multiple disciplines showcase their innovative prowess in this platform.
The event featured a record of over 100+ innovative projects which have been successfully developed and funded with cumulative grants of 75 Lacs under numerous government bodies, funding and investment agencies. Celebrating this expo marked a milestone in the University's efforts towards creating and showcasing the full essence of Atmanirbhar Bharat and be a part of the nationwide commemoration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The University's project specialisations include fields like engineering and technology, ayurveda, pharmacy, applied sciences, physiotherapy, nursing amongst other fields where students have been innovating comprehensive solutions to support the society. A number of Parul University's projects have received their funding through grants from leading organisations such as Gujarat Student Start-up and Innovation Hub and Student Start-up and Innovation policy (SSIP), Government of Gujarat.
Some of these projects include VitaFALL, a startup that aims at helping aged people, specially-abled and the needy by monitoring their vital signs and fall prediction/detection. In most of the devices and innovations, the fall detection technique is only based on gyroscope or tri-accelerometer or tilt sensor, so there is a very high possibility of generation of alse fall alarms as there is no vitals observation analysis simultaneously and VitaFALL seeks to resolve this challenge.
"It is truly a matter of great pride to see our students taking part and exhibiting their innovative skills and abilities at such a young age. Through such initiatives we surely look forward to providing a maximum exposure to entrepreneurship in our City, State and Nation, said Jay Sudani, CEO of the University's Entrepreneurship Development Centre.
Another innovation which has been developed by the budding innovators of Parul University includes Liberty Crutch, a mobility device that aims at providing functional independence to the user through hands-free and pain-free mobility. It can be used by people with unilateral below-knee musculoskeletal injuries. Such projects have been resolving the challenges which the people have been facing in the various sectors of life and require effective solutions.
In the field of natural Ayurvedic Herbal Tea is one of such innovations which has been centred on in providing care in pre-diabetic individuals. The sale of such herbal-based products is increasing and will continue to increase day by day, hence this herbal-based product which can be used in the form of herbal tea will be specifically effective in preventing diabetes at a pre-diabetic stage.
"As a University we have been making efforts to pioneer the essence of innovation which will provide our students with the much needed exposure to entrepreneurship and innovation that we can fulfill the vision of activating India 2.0, fuelled by the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat", said the PU President, Dr. Devanshu J Patel.
