My Apple School Sanskar Foundation team celebrated Navratri Festival with full enthusiasm in the school assembly hall with Grade 6 to 9 children including Drama, Dance Performance, Garba followed by Aarti. Student of Grade 9 briefly explained about the nine days, various avatars of Goddess Durga & also the significance of Dhol and Dhandiya without which Navratri festival is incomplete especially 'Garba'.
Students of Grade 6, 7, 8 and 9 role-played Drama and performed folk dance showing the tadition and culture is resembled in the celebration. It is said that garba and dandiya are a dramatization of the nine-day battle between Goddess Durga and the demon king Mahishasura, in which the Goddess emerged victoriously.
The girls were dressed in the colorful 'ghagra cholis' and boys were dressed in the beautiful 'kurta pajamas', which was the theme for this event. Grade 1 to 5 enjoyed the event through virtual platform.
