Injured shifted to hospital, LCB caught the attacker within hours of attack
In a shocking incident one hawker attacked the other with a knife during a scuffle on the platform No. 1 of Vadodara railway station. The two fight about doing business inside the train. The injured was shifted to Sayaji Hospital for treatment. The whole incident was captured on CCTV at the railway station and based on that police caught the accused in matter of hours.
As per avaliable details, Nityanand alias Kundan Dubey had a quarrel with Manojkumar Ramshungar resident of Piraman, Dist. Bharuch and originally from Uttar Pradesh on the platform No. 1 of Vadodara railway station regarding doing business inside in the trains. Kundan told Manoj not to ferry in this train and as he denied, he attacked him with a knife in broad daylight. The passengers were shocked to saw this and ran for safety. Manoj was injured in the chest, hand and was shifted to Sayaji Hospital for treatment.
The assailant attacked with a knife hiding in the foot intended to kill Manoj and fled from the spot. However, the whole incident was captured on CCTV at the railway station.
After information the railway police reached the hospital and interrogated the youth and started investigation. The LCB nabbed the attacker, 19-year-old Nityanand alias Kundan Dubey, from Parashuram Bhatta within hours of the incident.
