INS Valsura conducts humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations in Jamnagar

In the wake of incessant and heavy rains reported in Jamnagar and on request from District civil administration, personnel from INS Valsura were deputed to assist civil administration in rescuing stranded citizens from various parts of rain affected areas of Jamnagar city.

A large number of citizens including pregnant women and elderly have been rescued and shifted to safe shelters by boats deployed by the Navy. Naval teams are also providing fresh meals and dry ration to the stranded citizens.
