Indian Coast Guard (ICG) in a swift joint operation with ATS Gujarat apprehended Pakistani boat namely Al Hussaini in Indian waters, with 06 crew and 77 Kgs of heroin worth Rs. 400 crore market value on 20 December 2021. ICG ship braving the chilly winds and cold weather conditions interdicted the Pakistani boat 06 NM inside Indian waters.

The Ship sighted the suspiciously moving boat, which on being challenged, tried to flee, that was outmaneuvered. Ship displaying prompt agility forced them to surrender.

Not withstanding the weather conditions, the boat was thoroughly rummaged during which the contraband consignment containing 05 bags with approximately 77 Kgs of heroin.

The market value of seized narcotics is estimated to be approximately Rs. 400 crore. The apprehended boat which is registered at Karachi is being brought to Jakhau harbour for further joint investigation by all agencies

This is the second joint operation of ICG and ATS Gujarat, within a span of three months wherein, total approximately Rs. 550 crore worth of heroin has been apprehended by ICG and ATS jointly due to synergized operations.
