Gujarat: Temperature soars, rain likely on Friday

With no rain for the past few days, the maximum temperature on Tuesday increased to 35 degrees celsius, which was 2.1 degrees higher than normal.

According to India meteorological department (IMD) forecast, with a system advancing from Bay of Bengal to western states, several parts of the state are likely to get rainfall from Friday onwards.
On Friday, Navsari, Valsad and Dang are likely to get heavy rainfall, whereas light thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind are likely in several districts of south and central Gujarat, including Ahmedabad.
