GSPCA freed 27 different types of parrots from Vansda village in Valsad district

Gujarat SPCA freed 27 different types of parrots kept under captivity by people of Vansda village in Valsad district. The team rescued the parrots in just two hours operation and booked nine persons under 1972 Wildlife Protection Act. Raj Bhavsar from GSPCA said that rather then kept the birds in captivity people shall create the natural surroundings for them and enjoy their company.

As per details given by Raj Bhavsar, they received information about wildlife kept in captivity in Vansda village in Valsad district. After confirmed input they contact the RFO of Vansda Forest department and along with their team rescued 27 different types of parrots from people in a joint operation. They were shocked to see the parrots kept inside the cages which is cruelty to them as they are used to roam free in the sky.

The team rescued the parrots in nearly two hours operation and booked nine people for violation of 1972 Wildlife Protection act. Raj Bhavsar once again request people not to keep wildlife in their homes and if they have any one of them them handover to their team to avoid any legal action. He also request people to rather then kept the birds in captivity they shall create the natural surroundings for them and enjoy their company. This is the best way to enjoy the beauty of nature and also saving the best for future.
