Farmer agitation is politically motivated and they are ready for talks for peaceful resolution - Kailash Choudhary

Kailash Choudhary Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare said farmer agitation in politically motivated as the law is for their benefit. However they are ready for talks to resolve the matter in a peaceful manner. He termed Lakhimpur Kheri incident as sad as the victims are farmers. The politics is at it's lowest and the culprits shall be punished. He gets warm welcome in Vadodara by the Samast Rajasthan Samaj as part of Pravasi Sammelan.

Kailash Choudhary said Prime Minister Narendra Modi government is doing everything to make the farmers self reliant through various schemes. Focus is also on organic, medicinal, honey production and oil palm mission. The new rules are for the benefit of farmers but somehow now the agitation by them is politically motivated. But the farmer is clever and they are with the government.

He termed the Lakhimpur Sheri incident as masacare where farmers lost their lives. Politics is at its lowest form and conspiracy to get back to power. The culprits shall be punished for this.

He said the government is working to make the farmers self reliant and through Agriculture Infrastructure Fund they can put their own processing units and every farmer will have the control from seeding till marketing. Everyone is coming to agriculture now and he want that this sector can be the biggest contribute in 5 Trillion economy.
