District administration on high alert for heavy to very heavy rains forecast in Vadodara district

Resident Additional Collector Dilip Patel has instructed the district administration to remain vigilant and take all precautionary measures as per the forecast of heavy to very heavy rains in Vadodara district.

He has specially instructed all the Province Officers, Mamlatdars, Taluka Development Officers and Chief Officers of Municipalities of Vadodara District to be present at the Headquarters during the two days on Saturday and Sunday.

Disaster Control Room functioning in the Collectorate has warned all the taluka agencies about the message received by the State Level Control Room State Emergency Operations Center to the District Level Control Room regarding heavy rains have been forecast in South Gujarat for the next two-three days.

All concerned departments in Vadodara district are instructed to be alert. In this regard, it has been asked to ensure that all the taluka level control room numbers remain open and the employees on duty are present.

Message is conveyed from the control room to the village level through Talati, warn people to stay in their homes at the time of lightning and to take all precautions to avoid the possibility of loss of life by informing them not to stand under trees or near electric wires / poles during lightning.

The District Disaster Control Room has been asked to report any damage immediately.
