Chhatra Sansad, in association with InOrbit Mall and the Vadodara Municipal Corporation have arranged a vaccination drive with an aim to administer the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to those that have been unable to secure it via the channels instituted by the authorities as well as those who don't have the resources or access to the internet to book their slot.

"The second wave of corona creates havoc and scores of people lost their lives to this deadly virus. We are still fighting and the best effective way to get vaccinated. This initiative by Chhatra Sansad is to reach out to maximum people who are still not yet get the vaccine. Our volunteers are there at the 12 administrative wards of the corporation and reach out to the underprivileged society. We are also approaching the influential people to convince people in their area to get vaccinated. Our aim is to make Vadodara a fully vaccinated city in the country," said Kunal Sharma founder and president Chhatra Sansad.

During the pandemic Chhatra Sansad is involved in various activities like organising blood and plasma donation camps, financial donation to the needy, covid assistance helpline and most recent the community kitchen to serve meals in partnership with IIRA Foundation. With over 1000 volunteers, they have served meals to more than 3 lac people till date, including frontline warriors, COVID-19 patients and their families, auxiliary hospital staff like janitors and custodians as well as crematorium workers, individuals who are currently working relentlessly and tirelessly to help Society recover from this pandemic.

They are also currently working with the authorities to organize a massive Vaccination Drive for those aged 18 years or above. They have taken the responsibility to vaccinate atleast 1 lakh youth of Vadodara District. They have drawn Social Distancing circles in front essential services shops like pharmacies, grocery shops, milk parlours. They also created a network of volunteers who helped the senior citizens of Vadodara with whatever daily needs they might have, like refills of medical prescriptions, buying groceries etc.
