Incident Details

The palace, owned by Ghan Behram Edalji Palamkot, is located in Ilav village but has been unoccupied for the past year.

Palamkot, a resident of Rustom Pelage Flats in Mumbai, had last visited the property when his brother resided there. Due to his brother’s ill health, he moved to Mumbai, leaving the palace vacant.

On January 29, Palamkot visited the palace to collect the keys. Upon opening the door, he discovered the house ransacked, with valuables missing. The burglars reportedly entered the palace by breaking a rear window and fled with their loot.

Police Investigation

Hansot police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. They are examining possible leads to identify and apprehend the culprits.
