The forecast also mentions the likelihood of heavy to very heavy rain in parts of south Gujarat and the eastern parts of the state on Saturday.
The change in weather is caused by two systems - a trough from southwest Rajasthan to north Odisha, and a well-marked low-pressure area over eastern Madhya Pradesh.
For most of the state, this spell of rain is likely to continue for the next four days, the forecast states.
