A total of 35 kids and teens with multiple disabilities including learning disorders participated in the Aadhaar card special camp organized by the Ahmedabad district collector office at Blind People's Association (BPA). Out of the total, 21 were issued new cards, whereas 14 had to update their cards, said organizers.
Disability activists lauded the initiative by the administration, saying such special camps were needed for the children.
They complained about the apathy meted out by some of the Aadhaar enrolment centres where parents could not complete the process due to some or the other issue.
