Emraan Hashmi and John Abraham on Mumbai Saga’s theatrical release: It’s a big-screen experience

After a long wait, the trailer of Sanjay Gupta’s gangster drama, ‘Mumbai Saga’ is finally out and it is worth the wait. The John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi starrer is fierce and action-packed and it is sure to keep you at the edge of your seat.

The trailer is high on action and is filled with some witty and whistle-worthy dialogues. Rich in casting, Sanjay Gupta’s upcoming gangster drama is sure to be a treat for the audience.

The film is set when Mumbai was apparently ruled by the underworld. While John plays the ruthless gangster, Amartya Rao who rose from the streets of Mumbai, Emraan plays a cop who rose from the ghettos of the city. ‘Mumbai Saga’ boasts of an ensemble star cast that includes, Mahesh Manjrekar, Suniel Shetty, and Gulshan Grover, among others.

‘Mumbai Saga’ was initially scheduled to release in June last year, but since the cinema halls were shut during the nationwide lockdown, there were several reports that the makers were pondering over a digital release.

However, the filmmaker clarified in a statement by saying, “I was certain that I had a story that everyone would love to watch on the big screen, enjoying the company of their loved ones with a bucket of popcorn. And here we are, ready to rock the cinemas with ‘Mumbai Saga’, a story that’s unlike any other.”

‘Mumbai Saga’ will hit the theatres on March 19, 2021.
