Rahul Gandhi backs English education in schools, slams BJP

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said that leaders of the party do not want English to be taught in schools, but all their children to go to English medium schools.

While addressing a rally in Rajasthan's Alwar, the Congress MP highlighted the importance of English language.

Children of all the BJP leaders, including Union ministers, chief ministers, MPs, MLA, go to English medium schools, Rahul Gandhi said.

Further in his speech, Rahul Gandhi also said that around 1,700 English medium schools have been opened in Rajasthan.
