Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) on April 8 unveiled its new Centre of Excellence for Professional Skill Development at the University Polytechnic.

The facility was inaugurated by the vice chancellor, Prof Mazhar Asif. The centre aims to foster industry-aligned, future-ready technical education for students.

Other than the vice chancellor Asif, the inauguration had Prof. Mohammad Mahtab Alam Rizvi (Registrar, JMI), Prof. Mini Shaji Thomas (Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology), and Sundresan Narayanan, Managing Director of Carrier Air-conditioning Ltd.

Meanwhile, the University is set to close the online application window for the 2025 admission cycle.

The last date to apply for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), including BTech and BArch programmes, is April 10, 2025.

This year, admissions to 25 programmes will be based on CUET scores. These include 9 UG, 5 PG, 8 diploma, and 3 advanced diploma programmes.
