Corona patients receive treatment at the hospital away from family and friends. A unique arrangement has been made in the covid department of Sayaji Hospital so that they can enjoy the Diwali festival by staying in the hospital.

Giving information about this, Administrative Nodal Officer Dr. O.B. Belim said, patients on the fourth floor of Covid Hospital are currently receiving treatment whose condition is normal, stable and need very little oxygen. As part of the precautions, Deepotsav will be celebrated with such patients on Saturday at 7.45 pm.  As part of this, lamps will be lit and sweets will be distributed to the patients to make them feel the joy and sweetness of the biggest festival of the year. The aim is to make the patients feel at home in the hospital on the occasion.

Dr. Belim said that in the treatment of corona, if the patients feel happy their morale becomes stronger and this mental positivity gives them strength to fight the disease.  Keeping this in mind, earlier on the occasion of Navratri, a festival of Shakti Aradhana was celebrated by combining physical exercise with Garba. This unique event has been organized in collaboration with the hospital staff and doctors which will help the patients in relieving stress and make Diwali memorable.

As Corona Warrior, Sayaji Hospital’s nursing staff has been taking care of patients continuously since March. They plans to make patients ’Diwali more enjoyable. As part of which a team of nursing staff led by Jagrutibahen Chauhan and Kamlesh Parmar will join the celebration in a variety of costumes which will make the celebration more enjoyable.

On this occasion all will pray to God to save Vadodara, Gujarat, India and the whole world from the Corona epidemic and to keep all Corona Warriors safe and healthy. They also will pay tribute to those who lost their lives due to Corona.
