Corona vaccination has been speeding up in rural areas of Vadodara district. The state government has given guidelines for comprehensive and rapid vaccination to make people safe from coronavirus.

The District Collector as well as the District Development Officer instructed the Health System to make the vaccination more intensive and comprehensive. As a result by increasing the number of vaccination sites in every taluka of the district, the district health system has implemented a plan to vaccinate 100 persons daily in each center from Thursday.

Informing that the number of existing vaccination centers in district has been increased to 63, Chief District Health Officer Dr. Surendra Jain said, at present there were 87 centers and with 63 new centers being added from today, now the total stands at 150 centers. 100 people will be vaccinated daily, thus 15000 people can now be vaccinated against 8700 people get vaccine in a day earlier.

The district is currently administering the first dose of the vaccine to the elderly over 60 years of age and those suffering from serious diseases between the ages of 45 and 60. Along with them the second dose is being given to the health workers and front line workers who have taken the first dose.

From Thursday, 21 centers have been set up in Dabhoi taluka, 12 in Desar, 16 in Karjan, 24 in Padra, 20 in Savli, 12 in Shinor, 30 in Vadodara taluka and 14 in Waghodia taluka.
