Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 12 June addressed the G20 Development Ministers' Meeting via video conference.

During his address, the prime minister talked about increase investment in fulfilling the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), reform multilateral financial institutions, high-quality data, pro-planet lifestyle, gender equality and women's empowerment.

During his address, the Prime Minister pitched for democratisation of technology to bridge the data divide, and told G20 delegates that India is willing to share its experience with partner countries as digitalisation has brought about a revolutionary change in the country

Speaking of India, the Prime Minister said that efforts were made to improve people's life in more than hundred aspirational districts, which were pockets of under-development.

The Prime Minister also said that gender equality and women's empowerment are crucial to achieve the SDGs and urged adopt a game-changing Action Plan for Women-led Development.
