Body of missing youth from Koyli found inside the village well

Police further investigating to know exact cause of death

The body of a young man who went missing late at night in Koyli village near Vadodara city was found inside a 100 feet deep well in the village today morning. Fire brigade pulled out the body and handed it over to the police.

Om Jadeja, sub-fire officer of Chhani TP 13, said, they get a call came from Koyli village around 9:00 am that a young man had fallen inside a well. Based on that the fire brigade team reached the spot and started the rescue work. After a 50 minutes effort the team pulled the body out of a 100-foot-deep well and handed over to Jawahar Nagar police.

As per available details, 21-year-old Kalpesh Kalidas Vasava, a resident of Koyli village, went missing late last night. The search was conducted by family members but they failed to locate him. Meanwhile, the fire brigade was called in this morning after someone came to know that Kalpesh’s body was floating in a village well.

Police send the body for postmortem and began investigation about the cause of death. The postmortem report will further clear the matter. Currently, the police have registered a case of accidental death and initiated further action.
