Bharuch waterlogged after heavy rains

Schools declared holiday

Medium rains from last night in Bharuch resulting waterlogging in various parts like Farja, Ghansmandai, Parsiwad, Valmiki Wad and other societies in the city. Slums situated near Mataria Talav is also alerted by the administration as a precautionary step. An incident of tree fell on three huts at Vejalpur was also reported with no casualities. Bharuch MLA visited the flood affected areas and assure for help to the people.

Low lying areas in Ankleshwar is waterlogged after it reported 1.5 inches of rain. The flood waters entered inside the areas like road towards Bharuch, Nirantnagar, Surwadi Fatak road, Raguveer Nagar, Borbhantha road and Ramnagar which troubled the residents. Commuters find it difficult to move due to the water logged roads. A tree fell on a richshaw was reported but luckily no one was hurt in the incident. Alert was also issued to Sarfuddin by the administration.

In Hansot near Ilav people rushed to see the flood inside river Kim passing from there. As the water level increased the administration issued alert to the nearby areas situated on the banks of river. Holiday was also declared in schools after the rains like situation in Ankleshwar and Hansot.

In Walia low lying areas are waterlogged after 1.5 inch rain was reported. Netrang also received flow of water along with Pingot and Dholi dam. Traffic was disrupted on Rajpardhi Umalla road due to the rains. Amod also waterlogged due to the continuous rain along with Ikhar and Vasna villages.

The drain on the road joining Akhod village in Waghra from Nandarkhan was damaged due to rain waters resulting in no communication with other villages. The sarpanch and Talati along with district panchayat road department rushed to spot after the message and starting repair the road.

Bharuch MLA Dushyant Patel visited the low lying areas like Nandelav, Sherpura and took stock of the situation. He said the efforts are on to provide relief material to the affected and they afre in constant touch with village Sarpanchs and Talati for quick release of the material.
