Officer on Special Duty Dr. Vinod Rao visited various hospitals in and nearby Vadodara city to review the facilities and also start two of them as extension to accommodate covid patients.

To start with he visited Gotri Hospital and SSG Hospital and took stock of situation. Dr. Rao said, the number of patients are 329 and 253 in each against capacity of 575 each in both hospitals. Across all Government Hospitals they have total of 700 COVID beds vacant.

He then visited Pioneer Campus and interracted with Doctors and other authorities. The hospital is developing into a 500 Bed COVID Hospital with Ventilators, Specialists and best treatment. He said, admissions of patients have started and today they are notifying Pioneer Hospital as extention facility of about 15 to 20 Private COVID Hospitals of Vadodara.

He also visited Davalba Hospital, Near Babaria Campus, Varnama and discussed with all the concerned about the facilities. Dr. Rao said, they are developing this into a 500 bed COVID Hospital and specialist doctors are pooled from Vadodara and Bharuch. This will also be an extention facility for 15- 20 Private Hospitals of Vadodara city.

He also request everyone not to believe or spread fake news about the beds not avaliable in government hospitals.
