VMSS health department team raid sweet shops

VMSS health department team on Thursday raid around 50 sweet and farsan shops in the city and destroyed around 100kgs of adulterated oil, Mava, Samosa Mava, Chatni and others. The team gives notice to the five shops and also took samples from the seven shops for testing.

In view of the upcoming Rakshabandhan festival the VMSS team continues its checking and raid the sweet shops for the last five days in Vadodara. On Thursday the three teams conduct checking in Elora Park, Subhanpura, Gorwa, Pandya Hotel road, Old Padra road and Kadak Bazaar areas in 50 shops.

The team found and destroyed 13kg Gulabjamun, Mava, Barfi, 70 kgs Farsan, 40ltr oil and 70kg of Samosa and Bhajiya Mava on the spot. The team took samples from the seven shops for testing and also served notice.

Health officer Jitendra Gohil said that in view of the upcoming Rakshabandhan festival their teams were checking inside the sweet and farsan shops in Vadodara city. They also destroyed the unadulterated items on the spot and also take samples for testing. The checking will continue in the coming days till the festival.
