According to news agency ANI on Wednesday, BJP MP from Delhi and former cricketer Gautam Gambhir stated that he has received death threats from 'ISIS Kashmir.'

Gambhir has approached the Delhi Police in this matter, according to Shweta Chauhan, DCP Central. "Through e-mail, Gautam Gambhir has received death threats from 'ISIS Kashmir.' Outside Gambhir's house, security has been ramped up," Chauhan remarked.

Gambhir revealed specifics of the email, which he alleges was issued from ISIS Kashmir, in a letter to the police. According to the text, the terrorist gang intends to murder him and his family.

Gambhir blasted Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi last year for his comments towards Jammu and Kashmir and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On May 15, last year, Afridi raked up the Kashmir issue on Twitter, writing, "It does not take a religious belief to feel the agony of Kashmiris..just a right heart at the right place."

"It is unfortunate. Such comments are a reflection of your (Shahid) and your country's (Pakistan) thinking," Gambhir had said on May 17, 2020.
