Free Wi-Fi at Vadodara railway station

Now the passengers waiting for trains at Vadodara railway station has a reason to smile as the Western railway started free Wi-Fi for them.

The users have to generate the OTP and then they can access the high speed internet at the seven platforms at Vadodara railway station.

On 17 December MP Ranjan Bhatt, Sports Minister Rajendra Trivedi, Mayor Bharat Dangar in the presence of top Railway officials inagurate the Wi Fi facility in the morning for the passengers. The high speed internet is provided by Railwire a part of Railtel where along with google the internet is provided to the passengers. The user has to access the Wi-Fi select the Railwire and then generate the OTP to access the high speed internet on the go.

The user can access the sites for free other then the sites blocked by department of Telecommunication like the pornographic ones. The user get 5mbps speed for the first hour and then the speed is reduced to 1mbps. The total bandwidth provided to the uses is 1.25GBPS and the wifi is available at 7 platforms.

Other then this a skywalk was also opened for the public joining railway station to ST Depot.
