Vadodara Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) nabbed two VMSS Town Planning employees and one weekly editor for demanding bribe from a businessman by saying the wall of his shop falls into the encroachment area. The trio set the amount from 20lakhs and later comes down to 6 lakhs and while accepting the first instalment of 1 lakh the ACB sleuths caught them red handed.
The ACB formed three teams and laid a successful trap to nab the accused. The team also record the conversation between the complainant and the trio about the deal for the last three days. On Wednesday evening the ACB caught Naisarg Joshi weekly editor of Gujarat Vandan and Suprabhat, Dinesh Varia surveyor and Chirag Rana building inspector of Town planning department of VMSS.
Gehlot further said that the first accused Naisarg Joshi collect the money from the complainant at his place and from there he called Varia who told him to kept the money and then the third Chirag Rana called all of them to his office in the VMSS building. The first team caught Naisarg Joshi and then the second team caught Dinesh Varia from railway station area and third team arrested Chirag Rana from Corporation office.
The ACB used audio and video recording to trap and nab the accused. Further investigation is on.
