43rd National Kabaddi Championship in Vadodara

Vadodara once again is going to organise the Junior National Kabaddi Championship starting from 21st December to 25th December at the Manjalpur Sports Complex. Players from 29 states will be taking part in the tournament and the Indian team will be selected from here.

After successfully organized the 38th Junior National Kabaddi Championship in 2011 by the Gujarat State Kabaddi Association & Vadodara Kabaddi Association at Vadodara in the month of December 2011, once again after a short span of time of 5 years, the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) has allotted to conduct the 43rd Junior National Kabaddi Championship 2016. The Championship will be held at Manjalpur Sports Complex in Vadodara from 21.12.2016 to 25.12.2016 with the financial support of various industries all throughout the state of Gujarat and also by Government of Gujarat.

Total 56 teams(Boys & Girls) from 29 states all throughout India are participating in this national championship. 840 players and 100 Technical officials are coming from different states including office bearers of Amateur Kabaddi Federation Of India.

The tournament is important in the sense that national team will be selected here and every day the players will be felicitated for their performance. Speaking on the occasion Tushar Arothe Organising Secretary of the tournament said that every day Best catcher, defender, raider and all rounder will be felicitated. The players from Indian World Cup Kabaddi team Sandeep Karwal, Kiran Parmar and others will also present at the inauguration to boost the morale of the players.

In addition various eminent personalities of states will be visiting during the tournament. Various Arjun Awardee and International players including Kabaddi World Cup 2016 Champions players also visit the tournament to encourage youth players of the India. During this championship various international players from Vadodara will be felicitated by the Gujarat State Kabaddi Association

"After the Pro Kabaddi the stature of Kabaddi rise and after our Indian team won the world cup it's a privilege for us to organised Junior National Kabaddi Championship in Vadodara for second time in the span of 5 years. We have make 5 grounds where 20 matches will be played everyday. The matches will be in the evening under floodlights," said Dinesh Patel General Secretary AKFI.
