Amount of water released from Ajwa Sarovar and Dev Dam increased
In order to maintain the rule level in view of the inflow of water from catchment area, the amount of water being discharged from Ajwa Sarovar and Dev Dam into Dev river has increased. At present 4660 cusecs of water is being released from Ajwa at 7 pm and the surface of Vishwamitri river at Kala Ghoda has risen to nine and a half feet.

Similarly, 3870.52 cusecs of water is being released from Dev Dam in Halol taluka to maintain the rule level. Currently gates No. 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the dam have been partially opened by 30 cm. As per the instructions of the Collector, the district administration has instructed the concerned taluka administrations to remain vigilant and take appropriate precautionary measures as and when required.

People living near Vishwamitri and Dev rivers have also been requested not to go to the river bank and be careful.
