Air Marshal HS Arora hands over command of HQ SWAC to take over as Vice Chief

Air Marshal HS Arora Ati Vishist Seva Medal ADC, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, handed over the command of South Western Air Command on Monday. The Air Marshal proceeds to Air HQs to take over as Vice Chief of Air Staff from 01 Oct 2019.

The Air Marshal in his address to all Commanders acknowledged the high degree of professionalism and hard work displayed by the air warriors of SWAC in achieving the assigned goals especially during exercise VAYU SHAKTI which epitomized IAF’s operational capability. He appreciated the proactive approach and efforts put in towards HADR missions undertaken to rescue our fellow citizens and in swiftly mobilizing personnel of sister services, NDRF and SDRF in the recent floods in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Karnataka area.

He expressed happiness for the welfare measures undertaken at various stations to increase the quality of life extended to the families of air warriors.

In a simultaneous function at Vayu Shakti Nagar, Gandhinagar, Baljeet Arora addressed the Sanginis and urged them to take up the good work and keep abreast in rapidly changing environment. She was pleased by the steps taken towards enhancing quality of education at Air Force Schools, welfare programmes, health, fitness and environment of air warriors and called upon members to continue to strive for excellence with their efforts.
