As the Corona cases are on the rise in Vadodara, on Friday OSD Dr. Vinod Rao visited Gotri and SSG Hospitals and took detailed review of the situation.

He said, there are 203 COVID patients in Gotri and 185 in SSG Hospital against capacity of 575 in each of them. Occupancy of Ventilators is about 25 – 30%. In view of the steep increase in admissions in the last 7 days, they decided to mobilize Nursing Sahayaks, Ward Boys and Cleaning staff in more numbers.

They also decided to keep ESI Hospital Gotri and Infectious Diseases Hospital Karelibag ready in case of need. The administration will start sending patients to these hospitals once the numbers in Gotri and SSG Hospitals cross 300.

He also conducted Video conferencing with Dhiraj Hospital, Parul Hospital and Pioneer Hospital and planned to increase the COVID beds capacity in these hospitals to 300, 125 and 100 beds each.
